About the Author

Njustis writes from a lifetime of faith, hardship, research, and perseverance. His work blends biblical investigation, personal testimony, and a sober examination of the spiritual and geopolitical questions shaping the present age.

He urges readers to look beneath surface explanations, test the evidence for themselves, and return to Scripture with seriousness rather than sensationalism.

Author's Note

This book began during one of the darkest moments of my life, when I came close to death.

In May of 2025, I was hospitalized with a severe case of pneumonia. For several days, my condition worsened as my fever remained dangerously high, reaching 103 degrees. The doctors struggled to control the infection. Antibiotics were administered, but nothing seemed to work. My breathing weakened, my strength faded, and each passing hour brought me closer to the end.

By the fifth day, the situation had become critical. The doctors placed me in ice packs in an attempt to bring my fever down. Even with all the resources of modern medicine, they were losing the battle.

During that time, my Orthodox priest came to visit me in the hospital. He brought with him myrrh from the bleeding Virgin Mary icon in Hawaii and anointed me.

Two hours later, my fever suddenly broke, and my oxygen levels returned to normal. The following day, the doctors took another X-ray. What they told me is something I will never forget they could not explain what had happened.

When they reviewed the results, they looked at me with amazement. According to the images, they said they could not even tell that I had pneumonia. The X-rays were clear. When I told them that a priest had come and anointed me with myrrh, they simply nodded and said I was free to go home.

After I returned home, something else began to happen. Day after day, I experienced vivid dreams. It felt as though I were surrounded by a cloud. When I woke, I began to write.

At the time, I had no clear understanding of why I felt compelled to tell this story. I only knew that I needed to write what would eventually become The Last Peace Treaty.

Whether these experiences were divine inspiration or the imagination of a man recovering from illness is something I leave for the reader to decide.
